We had a chance to play with HTC Wildfire, the new smartphone that will be a successor to the model HTC Tattoo. The newest addition to the HTC Android porfolio looks like a mini Desire. As you can see in the following table, it even has a capacitive screen (Tattoo did not). The only drawback is of course the screen, but since the resolution is lower than desire, it does not need a Snapdragon 1GHz processor, and works like a charm.
HTC Wildfire could be a big hit, considering the expected price and mass market audience that could afford it. It packs a new and improved version of HTC Sense, integrating notifications from social networks directly with a contact during a call. It will be available in cool colors as well (gunmetal, black, white, red).

We are all very interested in the upcoming Windows Phone 7. As the new mobile OS from Microsoft is getting closer to launch date, people are getting nervous. Of course, that can sometimes be a good thing. Check out the design concept of XDA's Livven (@FollowLivven on Twitter).
Remember this is JUST A CONCEPT based on a rumor that HTC Mondrian (1.3GHz) will be Diamond/TouchPro/HD based. The author is working on HD3 based concept as well.
We really think that 5-row keyboard is a must on qwerty devices, and it would be great if a similar device would hit the markets on Fall 2010.
There is one WP7 phone that is already known – LG Panther. According to MobileTechWorld Microsoft has been sending to its worldwide offices to start training people and developers. We must admit that Panther looks cheep, with not so comfortable keyboard (small space, 4-row).
As you already know, the upcoming HTC Wildfire (aka Buzz) will replace the model Tattoo in the entry level Android segment. While keeping the similar form factor, Wildfire will be more exclusive, HTC is dropping user-replaceable covers, and sticking to a couple of catchy exclusive fixed color covers. We can see the resemblance between Wildfire and Desire, thumbs up HTC.

OK, we did it again, for your complete overview of the new HTC HD Mini, check out a set of (almost) all the screenshots from this smartphone (55 in total).
General impressions are good, the screen is capacitive, back cover in gunmetal non-glossy surface. The successor to the Diamond 2 has less pixels (resolution is HVGA instead of WVGA), but it is fast. Combining 600MHz with 384MB of RAM, HD mini is very responsive and resembles HD2 in tearms of speed. Complete specs and overview can be seen here.

As soon as HD2 hit the market Android equivalent was missing. We wanted the same specs and huge screen but with Android OS. Well, it looks like Europe and GSM users will have to wait for a while. Now the Americans get the chance to show off, as Sprint gets lucky and announces the new flagship model -- HTC EVO 4G.
HTC EVO 4G is definately a great device, integrating all the features of Android 2.1 and newest Sense from HTC. You'll notice the mini HDMI jack, a new feature that all the high end phones should have. EVO 4G has 8MP camera as well as front facing camera for video calls. The star is, of course the WVGA 4.3" screen, already seen on HD2. It is not yet known if the screen is going to be AMOLED. The Snapdragon processor works at 1GHz, same as HD2 and Desire.
Two weeks ago, HTC was hit with a lawsuit from Apple, claiming that HTC is infringing on 20 different patents related to the iPhone and mobile computing. It’s no secret that HTC is one of Apple’s biggest threats to the iPhone market with its Windows Mobile and Android lineups.
Since news of the lawsuit broke, HTC has been pretty silent on the matter. The most we have heard from them were short statements about how HTC is an innovative company and that they would stand behind that innovation. Today, HTC has finally issued a formal response to Apple’s action and that “HTC disagrees with Apple’s decision and would like to reiterate their commitment to innovation.”

Amazon UK is offering new models of HTC's smartphones for pre-order. You can get HTC Desire (aka Bravo) for £528 (€587), HTC Legend for £400 (€444), and HTC HD Mini for £369 (€410). Desire and Legend will be released on April 1, and HD Mini will follow two weeks later, on April 14. Now, let's hope they hit Continental Europe around the same time.
It has been a busy start here in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress 2010. We just saw the HTC's new 3 models, Desire (aka Bravo), Legend, and HD Mini (photon). The event itself was hosted by Peter Chow, CEO of HTC along with it's colleagues.
