We bring you the exclusive preview of the new Nav N Go software for Android phones. iGO GPS navigation software for Windows Mobile and iPhone was among our favorites. Now IGO Amigo is available for Android platform as well. It works offline, so no high price data transfers while roaming !
As you can see, the user interface is simple and intuitive, and the program uses g-sensor to rotate the screen contents when needed. The real power is in the extensive POI database, so we may finally advice anyone who hesitated – Android platform just got richer for another great application. At this moment, iGO Amigo supports 320×480 resolution (HVGA). Check out the gallery of screenshots.
Hungarian based company Nav N Go, well known for it's GPS navigation software for mobile devices has just announced the upcoming Android version of iGO amigo.
Besides Windows Mobile and iPhone platforms, iGO will be available on Android as well, fixing the last thing that this OS needed to become fully functional – real GPS software with offline maps. Read the complete press release here.
Although we feel that all netbooks should have integrated GPS, it is not the case and even the expensive ones sometimes lack this feature. In front of us is the new netbook from Mio – P520G. With no moving parts whatsoever it is the perfect quiet companion for travel or car use. Integrated GPS is a must and this model is equipped with it. Slot for SIM card is under the battery and 3G modem is an option. It is a pitty that LAN port is missing. Model is available in black, blue, brown and white.
First GPS application for turn-by-turn navigation has appeared for iPhone. Full navigation software and maps are installed on the phone, so there is no need for massive data traffic and expensive data tarifs. Interesting symbiosis of leading GPS and PDA manufacturers suprises us once again. pda.pl has the news on the model M20. Besides cool design, they have come up with another unlocking method. In order to answer or reject a simple puzzle needs to be solved. Besides the usual features, M20 enables sending current location via MMS photo. Since M20 remembers GPS location in the moment of the undocking, now you can easily find your parked car.
