  1. Peter Says:

    Can you tell us more about battery life and how is one hand use with a phone this wide? are you able to type an sms or call a phone number one handed?

    Great video, nice to see more of windows mobile 6.5.

  2. mohsen7x8 Says:

    Please cover the new touchflo3d more. e.g. show us its photos and music tabs in landscape mode. They’re supposed to have totally new graphics according to the leaked ROM.

  3. msav Says:

    ai.rs crew consists of very tall guys with big palms :) HTC Leo is a bit difficult to use with one hand. It is very thin and we love it :)

  4. Vlada Says:

    Odakle nabavljas ovako ekskluzivne modele? Svaka cast!

  5. Argh Says:

    Could you check to see if the digital compass application functions, please?

    If so, could you also check to see if it works in something like Google Maps?

  6. FaisalZ Says:

    Do you know more about the camera? What resolution has it? What resolution does the video recorder have? Will there be a TV-Out on board?
    About the battery life I would also like to know more.
    And when will I be able to buy it in europe?

    Many thanks to you, that you brought this video and all the photos to the www! Great job!

    Thanks!

  7. Djurkash Says:

    I have just bookmarked ai.rs

    Keep up the good work!!!

  8. JiggZ Says:

    Whats the title to this song any1 know

  9. Jean (France) Says:

    Hello,
    Nice phone … and more !
    Who knows what the name of the song on this video ?
    Thanks for your help.

  10. Valicious Says:

    Can you please test how the voice clarity is when talking into the phone? (how your voice sounds to the other person) Could you please test the pickup and speaker clarity for speakerphone too?

    I ask because I’ve been desperately trying to find a phone that won’t make my voice sound absolutely terrible. (I have the mytouch now, worst clarity ever) My vocal chords are partially paralyzed, so a lot of extra air comes out when I’m talking. This doesn’t really affect in-person conversations, but phones tend to pick up on this something awful.

  11. msav Says:

    @argh
    Digital compas does not work in maps yet, but app exists within “HTC Debug Tools” so it’s there somewhere
    @faisalz
    Camera is 5MP, and this test sample does not allow us to change the resolution, maybe something will change, we’ll see… Video is VGA (640×480) and can be recorded with LED’s (which rock absolutely). We don’t know about TV yet. Battery is surprisingly OK, we suppose that it will hit the streets in november.
    @djurkas
    Hvala hvala :)

  12. ce3hel Says:

    Could you test gps navigation (igo, via gps). Is there any lag like on qualcomm msm 72xx? Is scrolling in that kind of apps much better?

  13. msav Says:

    @valicious – Voice and speakerphone are great (and we did not have problems on D2 or TP2). Everything is clear but be sure to check it out before buying…
    @ce3hel – Probali, radi :) Everything is much more responsive than on HD/D2/TP2. Scrolling is perfect. Imali smo mi raznorazne ekskluzive, a biće ih još…

  14. ashi Says:

    Can you tell me please if there is a secondary camera for video call or not ?

  15. msav Says:

    @ashi
    There is no secondary camera on this test sample we have…

  16. mohsen7x8 Says:

    could you also comment on the screen quality ? color quality,contrast,sharpness,etc. I remember touch HD’s wasn’t good in anything other than resolution.

  17. tudor Says:

    Is the pinch zooming also supported by the browser? (IE or Opera?) Can you maybe show us some video of browsing the web?

  18. ashi Says:

    If there is no secondary camera, does this mean that there is NO video call function ?

  19. Parsa Says:

    what kind of screen it boasts ? no OLED huh ?

  20. manuel Says:

    do u have any idea about having usb host just like TG01 ?

  21. msav Says:

    @mohsen7×8
    Screen quality is OK, even with bigger pixels due to large screen. Contrast is better than HD, in line with TP2…
    @tudor
    Unfortunately it is IE, pinch zoom is supported but only in steps (not smooth). No more videos for now, sorry…
    @ashi
    Yes, no video calls on this test model…

  22. msav Says:

    @Parsa
    It is not OLED…
    @manuel
    So far no idea…

  23. Tomus Says:

    Thanks!
    How about typing? Could you show us the keyboard in portrait and in landscape? How do you find the writing experience? Does the multi-touch help (like in iPhone)?
    Also web browser demo would be much appreciated (maybe time comparison with TP2 and some flash in action).

    Do you know anything about Leo with physical keyboard? ;)

    Keep up the good work!

  24. mohsen7x8 Says:

    thanx for your answers! waiting for more video coverage!

  25. msav Says:

    @tomus – Virtual keyboard is the same as on TP2. Multitouch is not used in writing – for now.

  26. riironman Says:

    ok..who sings this song? its peaceful

  27. saeidonline Says:

    Why Not Existed On Htc.Com ? Why Not Official Published ?

  28. John Ericson Says:

    The phone looks great! Oh, and I also want to know what song this is? :-)

  29. boe Says:

    Thanks for the video.

    I would love to see a video comparison of the screen on the LEO (in use) and the Diamond. Maybe reading an e-mail, browsing to the same web page and watching a youtube video.

    Battery life comparison between this and the Diamond and or Vogue on the same carrier would be very helpful. I had to go back to the Vogue after buying a Diamond as the Diamond would only last half a day with the same light, power etc settings as my Vogue – the killer was the cell receiver would constantly lose connectivity and be seeking new towers even when the phone was stationary and my Vogue never lost signal in the same office (3 bars).

    Does it come with that new magnetic stylus HTC is working on the patent for?

  30. Kyesy baby Says:

    Does it have a 3.5mm audio jack?
    What storage capacity is it?
    Does it look stupidly big as a phone?

  31. msav Says:

    @boe – no stylus at all
    @kyesy baby – yes, http://ai.rs/2009/07/htc-leo-specs/, depends on the hand size but no

  32. mohsen7x8 Says:

    can it play DVDrip divx/xvid ? could you examine core player with some high resolution video? 720p .mkv for example.

  33. jimn Says:

    There was a rumor about an add-on physical keyboard. Any info if it is true or possible?

  34. danyink Says:

    the video is excellent! thank you for the preview of this monster.

    I think what’s everyone’s dying to know is the battery management on this 1ghz snapdragon. Many have complained that 1200mah is simply inadequate for such a monster, then again, the same criticism have been said about the 900mah on the Diamond (which I’ve manage it to last for 48hrs with moderate use). So please, let us know if the snapdragon architecture allows for better battery conservation or is it simply too little juice…

  35. easy Says:

    I would like to know about an add-on physical keyboard, too!

  36. kyesy baby Says:

    Does it have tv out?

  37. Djole Says:

  38. moid Says:

    from where can i get it :P ?

  39. Nedjo Says:

  40. John Says:

    All, first of all the song is called “One Step Away” by Villablue and can be found here:
    http://www.amazon.com/Caf%C3%A9-del-Mar-Vol-15/dp/samples/B0018BDAJ8/ref=dp_tracks_all_1/176-2323900-4442348#disc_1

    Now – anybody know when the Leo will make a US debut?

    Thx,

    John

  41. msav Says:

    @boe & @danyink- Battery life is similar to Diamond1 (that means 1.5 days in our environment)
    @kyesy baby – our test sample does not have tvout cable nor the app for tv out,
    @djole – sve regularno, bez kamiona ;)
    @moid – soon, everyone will have it
    @nedjo – imamo još hot stvari, ali ova je baš hot :)

  42. mofo Says:

    Svaka cast!
    Evo kako neki drugi blogovi opisuju ovo:
    “When will mobile companies learn? … edited …

  43. slavissa Says:

  44. msav Says:

  45. boe Says:

    msav – thanks for the reply.

    Can you tell me if the diamond you are using is on Sprint, Verizon or ATT?

    My diamond on Sprint with push e-mail and 2 hotmail accounts set to check on a periodic basis typically lasted about a half a day with 30 minutes of call time and no browsing. I had 3 clients who returned their diamonds for the same reason on Sprint. I never tried a GSM version or Verizon version. I have the Touch (2 year old model) which gets about a full day of service on Sprint with the same account settings, brightness, power save settings etc as the Diamond and about 1 hour of talk time on average. I’m almost possitve it was the radio that was the issue as it would vary from 3 bars to no bars constantly where the touch sitting next to it would always stay a 3 to 4 bars.

  46. Ersan Says:

    Thanks for the great video review. This may very well be the phone that I will buy when it comes out. Just posted the news on http://www.techsweek.com. Hope its okay with you.

  47. Djole Says:

  48. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    What about the landscape QWERTY keybored?

  49. FitJerk - Flawless Fitness Says:

    Ugh if they were going to keep the off-center menu icons, then why not throw in the original honey-comb grid? This looks hideous. It just doesn’t look right. Maybe I’m used to lines and orderliness. Who knows.

    But the screen… it’s sexy as f**k!

  50. msav Says:

    @boe – It is european 3G version of the Diamond
Sredicemo galeriju uskoro.
    @nnsdfsdfj – It’s the same as on Touch HD, works OK.
    @fitjerk… – Honey-Comb grid is not visible but icons are aligigned by ut. TouchFLO3D is on top of regular WM 6.5 and you can turn it off. We don’t like the icon arrangement as well.

  51. boe Says:

    msav – thanks. I haven’t heard as much bad press about the battery on the GSM version of the Diamond – possibly because I don’t look for info ont he GSM version much but also because I think the radio kludge was a CDMA snafu that wasn’t a problem in the GSM version. I hope they get the CDMA version of the LEO right as it looks to be a very good choice to replace my Touch. I’d hate to return the LEO and once again go back to the Touch. I’m putting 6.5 build 63053 as I type but I can only extend the life of this phone so long before I get serious iPhone envy.

  52. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    Can someone give me a link showing me the Touch HD’s landscape QWERTY. And by landscape qwerty i mean you turn the phone like the iPhones landscape QWERTY.

  53. ce3hel Says:

    Could you confirm that leo has digital compas, or not. That is very important because it is required for wm7. On this thread at xda-developers it is said that leo dont have it forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4585793&postcount=75

    Hope to see it on your new video.

  54. grigio Says:

    is offline because @ 5:24 there was the Redhat Linux icon?

  55. victor Says:

    could you tell me the title of the song of the video you have already take off, this is so nice and the voice too
    thanks in advance

  56. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    HEY!! I read somewhere that the HTC Leo is going to come out the 6th of october. Cause Microsoft said that the Windows Moble 6.5 will be coming out then, and all the phones operating on it.
    :)

  57. boe Says:

    Rumor has it the Leo will be available in Europe Oct 12. Anyone here any rumors about he US – in particular a CDMA version?

  58. Mercedx64© Says:

    Yes I heard the same thing it will be released on the O2 network first on Oct 12th.

    A few sources are saying the same thing…here’s one from Engadget.

  59. boe Says:

    If anyone has anything on a US CDMA version info would be appreciated. FCC filing, prototypes – anything at all would be great.

    Thanks

  60. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    I know it says not to ask but i hav to. Why did they take the video off line? And when is the new one going to come out, its been a week since they took it off and no new video? Why does it take so long to make a video?

  61. ray Says:

    can you please repost the video before the 6th or 10th of October? ;)

  62. fdone Says:

    We want the video back! = )

  63. djim Says:

  65. LewxX Says:

    @msav:

    could you install paint.net or something similar,
    to test the touch-resolution?

    or do you already know,
    if the resolution is fine (like Touch HD) or poor (like iPhone)?

  66. msav Says:

    @LewxX – As soon as we get our hands on it again, we’ll do a full review…

  67. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    @masv
    When do u think u will have ur hand on it again? Or at least give us posible date in which u will have the new video? Please just give us some relefe. So we wont keep asking u when we see it again. :)

  68. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    O and masv can u please make sure they show us the keypads. All of them please. Like dialing when making a call. And texting cuz texting is a big deal to me. Like the portrait texting, and the landscape(like when u turn the phone like on the iPhone). Plese. Thanx for listening

  69. msav Says:

    @nnsdfsdfk – We do not know, we hope soon with newer build. Keypad is the same as the Touch Pro 2 – check out our post on TP2 screenshots http://ai.rs/2009/05/htc-touch-pro-2-screenshots/. Landscape looks like this: http://www.4winmobile.com/reviewer/waveydavey/Reviews/TouchPro2/Keyboard_Landscape.jpg

  70. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    Thanx masv. Sorry for asking so much im alittle impatient but what u gave me will keep me quite for a while. The landscape looks great espesially on such a huge screen.

  71. nnsdfsdfj Says:

    There is alot of new videos now. Yay. But can someone please tell me why they wont show the landscape qwerty keyboard on the videos. Do they want to keep it a secret of something>

  72. alrescha Says:

    ..very very nice phone, but i just can’t believe it doesn’t have FRONT CAMERA!!!
    is it true??
    please, anyone!!

  73. msav Says:

    @alresha – It is true. Do you use it that often ?

  74. Lee Says:

    Any news on the new video?

  75. Angelus Says:

    Indeed, i thought it would be here by now, quess we have 2 wait a littlebit longer. :x

  76. zik Says:

    review review review! :-)

  77. msav Says:

    @Lee – it is online now

  78. msav Says:

    @zik – full review to follow, final non O2 ROM (HTC generic) should be available on 16. oct. Enjoy quick look at the test sample…

  79. alrescha Says:
