Although we feel that all netbooks should have integrated GPS, it is not the case and even the expensive ones sometimes lack this feature. In front of us is the new netbook from Mio – P520G. With no moving parts whatsoever it is the perfect quiet companion for travel or car use. Integrated GPS is a must and this model is equipped with it. Slot for SIM card is under the battery and 3G modem is an option. It is a pitty that LAN port is missing. Model is available in black, blue, brown and white.
Russian site readweb.org has posted new information on Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite. Since we had a device in our hands we are not certain about resolution (it is actually HVGA 320×480) and other specs. As you can see, the fantastic lime green background has changed
Russian source says that the release date is postponed to the beggining of next year (!?) We hope to see it as soon as possible. Here are the specs with our comments in the brackets:
The operating system Google Android 1.5 (should be 1.6 ?)
User interface TouchWiz UI (we did not see it on our test model but it sounds logical)
Touch-sensitive 3-inch display with a WQVGA-resolution (should be 3.2 with HVGA)
Built-in 200 MB memory and a slot for memory cards format microSD up to 32 GB
We bring you the exclusive photos, screenshots and video preview of new HTC flagship device Leo. As you can see, we were right a month ago when we published first accurate renders of Leo. Our specs date from 21. of July, and now we confirm that we were right on that one too. The most controversial part was capacitive screen – and Yes, Leo has one ! Even with Windows Mobile 6.5. Check out the pictures, screenshots. Video preview of Leo follows soon in another post.
We had a chance to test Tattoo, new entry level android phone from HTC. Apart from QVGA screen, we are very pleased with build quality and overall appearance of the device. Check the specs on HTC's site, our video preview is below…
We had a chance to play with dual-SIM Android phone, and guess what, General Mobile’s DSTL1 has resistive screen (with stylus) and has a lot of potential. However, it needs much better build quality if it is going to mingle in the big league. Intel’s Marvel 624MHz feels better than Qualcomm MSM 528Mhz found in almost all smartphones today. DSTL1 comes with 4GB microSDand it is packed with cool features including 5MP camera and LED flash among them. The real power lies in the possibility to use one SIM for data and other for voice (although both can be used for voice). Check out the quick video preview on our YouTube channel.
Connect-UTB has released a new packages of Android emulator for the Diamond and Touch Pro. Now you could easily try Android on you Windows Mobile phone, even try making some phonecalls, sending SMS or event try data connection!
Changes are minor but it includes a new kernel and the newest rootfs. So basically you will experience some minor optimizations, updated base files, and a new ROM to try. The ROM is based on the xrom 1.4r3 which is a heavily modified ROM featuring a lot of nice stuff, so I am pretty sure you will love it!
Also, be sure to follow this guide in order to get GPRS working! I am sure you will find out that with data, everything is even more awesome as you can set up your google sync and download apps from the market!
Flight Control is probably the single most successful iPhone game, and has been downloaded 1.5 million times. Best of all — at least for Firemint, the company behind the title — this is the number of paid downloads (the game costs 99 cents).
The game was released back in the March of this year and has hit 1 million sales mark in the second half of June. It’s the beginning of September and that number climbed to 1.5 million, which is super impressive.
Firemint’s CEO Robert Murray is delighted (who wouldn’t be) that they’ve reached the milestone, adding: “I’m just so incredibly grateful to all the many people around the world who have embraced Flight Control and helped us to reach this amazing milestone. There’s still a lot more Flight Control to come!”
We’ll see how that goes, but considering their experience, we’ve no doubts they know what they’re doing.
We have in our hands the upcoming Samsung Android phone -- I5700 Galaxy Lite. We present you a quick gallery and video clip. Galaxy Lite will pack flashless 3.2MP camera and 1GB of memory comparing to I7500 Galaxy’s 5MP/8GB. Everything else is the same (including the great AMOLED screen). We are sad to say that this freakish green battery cover probably won’t be hitting the streets (or mobile operators), since the color is going to change to a more conservative one.
